Bio :
My name is Ben, I am a freelance illustrator and designer based in London with 10+ years experience. After being diagnosed as on the autistic spectrum late I began my freelance journey. Prior to going freelance I had worked on projects collaborating with HBO, Universal Studios, Warner Bros, Sega, Disney and 20th Century Fox whilst gaining valuable experience in creative management. I am now engaging with my own work that reflects my tastes and interests and seeing where it takes me. I am influenced by story-telling, mythology, fantasy, sci-fi and technology. I have worked on asset design, graphics for clothing, font design, packaging, animation, branding and marketing material.

FAQ
These are common questions and answers taken from instagram and DM’s
HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE?
My prices for commissions start at £500 which is subject to adjustment dependant on the brief. I have a fees and rates PDF which I will send you if you contact me that outlines all of my fees.
I am open to free and trade work if the benefits are clear and balanced.
I am open to work directly with charities, please contact me with your proposal.
I am open to designing products to raise money for a charity provided 90% or more of ALL monies go to the charity and this is transparent and shared with your customers. I understand and expect that the company would make a loss on a deal like this, the only other option would be to share all cost breakdowns and projected profits with me and your customers if it is a ‘percentage of profit’ plan – if the cost of production and labour is more than the money going to charity I’m not interested.
WHAT MUSIC DO YOU LISTEN TO?
I am making a series of playlists on Spotify to share music I enjoy and discover.
WHAT ARE YOUR SOURCES OF INSPIRATION?
I like the internet for discovery. I like sci-fi and tech, some urban legends and stuff like that. I think being able to apply stuff you like and incorporate it into your work is how inspiration works for me. I’m a bit of an entertainment/media fiend.
A lot of it comes from being autistic and creating visuals being a special interest.
WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR YOUNG ARTISTS?
My advice would be to balance your practical work, creative work and self work with breaks so you can develop something you like and know how to make whilst enjoying the process without burning out. Share your work with people who have similar interests. Don’t pay much attention to people trying to project their rules onto your work or police your process. A C A B.
